The sacral chakra is the second chakra in the human body and is home to the emotional body. Represented by the color orange, this chakra is all about creativity, pleasure, and relationships.
Also known as the spleen chakra, the sacral chakra's Sanskrit name is Svadhisthana. Swa means self, and adhishthana means established.
This chakra governs our physical health and emotional well-being.
The sacral chakra is located 2-3 inches below the navel, and its key focus is feelings and empathy. It's associated with the water element, moon, planet Neptune, and astrology signs Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.
When the sacral chakra is open and balanced, you may feel sexually alive, creative, and confident. As a result, you enjoy physical intimacy and have a healthy sense of self-worth.
Your sacral chakra might need attention if you struggle physically, emotionally, or mentally. Remember to exercise, eat healthy foods, and keep a positive attitude. Nurture your sacral chakra further by being creative and enjoying physical activity by spending time in nature.

The sacral chakra corresponds to the water element and relates to our ability to flow with change. Connecting with water promotes balance in this area. Drink plenty of water, take a relaxing bath, spend time swimming at the pool, or spend the day at the beach.
